Deb Putnoi
Deb Putnoi is the Founder of The Drawing Lab and author of, The Drawing Mind. She is an artist and educator and has worked with teenagers, young women, activists, scientists, entire schools including all of the staff and students, organizations and more. Putnoi's approach allows you to access your creative self in novel ways!
Putnoi exhibits her ARTWORK internationally and has a Masters in Education from The Harvard Graduate School of Education. She worked at Project Zero with Howard Gardner, a leading expert on creativity, arts in education and critical issues of education. She was involved in cutting edge research on creativity, arts in communities and museum settings.

THIS IS DIFFERENT
This online art experience is different than 99% of what is out there! Artist and educator Deb Putnoi has taught thousands of kids and developed her own approach to teaching art that puts the students own individual expression front and center. This is not a copy the teacher approach. This art experience teaches each person how to trust their own individual expression and the way that they make a mark on the page. No one’s art is better than anyone else’s and learning how to trust and believe in oneself is the most essential lesson.
We all have our own unique visual voice and Deb teaches you how to find it, trust it and grow it. She also teaches that you don’t have to make something look realistic to make a “good” piece of art. Art is infinite and your kids will learn about abstract art and modern art and see how to be inspired by a variety of artists.
Delving into the creative process is central to this Art Camp experience. Process art means that we are engaging deeply with the art making without worrying about the end product or outcome. There are no "mistakes" in these art experiences. Whatever we feel like is a mistake will lead us to new discoveries.nana these unintended outcomes are magic!
